Nicole Tardi is an amazing doula. She is sweet, empathetic, and knowledgeable. I selected Nicole as the doula for my 2nd child’s birth because her caring manner and love of the childbirth process immediately put me at ease and instilled confidence. During my pregnancy, she checked on how I was feeling and answered questions, encouraging birth preparation through exercises and classes, and advising and verifying we had our hospital bag packed. We faced the challenge of pregnancy during the COVID crisis when everyone was restricted to home. Nicole coordinated video chats and phone calls. Unfortunately, the COVID restrictions prevented Nicole from physically being with us at the hospital during the birth itself. Instead, she labored with us at home as my contractions progressed, with the goal of my going to the hospital at transition. Nicole was an incredible source of comfort, knowledge, and sympathy, guiding us through pain handling techniques. Since she would be unable document the labor and birth at the hospital, she photographed the labor and even drove to the hospital to take pictures of our entering the hospital. Nicole kept in constant contact via video chat while we were at the hospital, offering encouragement and support through the entire process, even though we did not deliver until 5 am. We felt as if Nicole were there with us. While I sought a medication free birth, I ended up receiving an epidural the last hour before birth. Nicole helped us through the decision making process, supporting my emotional and physical needs every step and reminding me that my child and my physical well-being were the top priority. After the birth, Nicole checked in to support breast feeding and to remind me to take care of myself. Once we were home, Nicole conducted a postpartum visit. I am incredibly grateful that Nicole was a part of our birth experience. More than just a doula, Nicole is a family friend who will be a part of our lives forever.
Nicole helped make our birth experience amazing! When looking for a doula, we wanted someone down to earth, easy to communicate with, and someone that would advocate for our wishes. Nicole exceeded all my expectations. In March, when covid-19 started escalating, I was getting scared for the possibility of her not being at our delivery in May. She was always there to talk to and help with any of my concerns. I ended up changing OBs at 35 weeks with the help of Nicole's guidance and I don't regret anything! She was always a phone call away and able to provide me any support I needed.
When I was in labor she provided full time support for my husband and I until we were ready for her to come to our house, and then until we got to the hospital. Once we were in our room, she was there virtually cheering us on. I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out despite the inconvenience of the corona virus.
Nicole was incredible. We hired her late into our pregnancy, but from day one she was always in constant contact and full of great advice and information. She has a very soothing and calming personality. We had planned a home birth, but circumstances landed us in a hospital delivery. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions the hospitals were only allowing 1 support person. I chose to have my husband there with me, but Nicole met us at the hospital to give us a few supplies and give us a pep talk. Even though she couldn't be there in person through my labor she was in close contact. At the worst point of my labor at 2:30am Nicole FaceTimed us and coached me through the pain. It was a major turning point and was so helpful.
If you're searching for the perfect doula we very highly recommend Nicole. Our experience with her was nothing short of perfect.
I am so grateful I had Nicole's help and support during my 1st pregnancy experience. Prior to delivery she helped by asking important questions that got us thinking and learning more about our different options throughout the whole process. Furthermore, I felt she was unbiased and had an impartial perspective, she did not push her own ideas and allowed us to come up with a plan that fit our needs/desires. I honestly don't know how my husband and I would have gotten through the labor/delivery. I had a particularly long and difficult labor experience and having someone as skilled as Nicole helped me get through painful contractions and make some difficult decisions while under immense stress. Overall, my husband and I really appreciated everything Nicole did to assist us in a really challenging experience.
Thank you so much for everything Nicole!!!!
Nicole was simply amazing. We actually met her in the throws of active labor (we had our baby 4 weeks early, and so our original Doula was out of town), and from the moment she walked in we were put at ease. She was incredibly intuitive in reading the room and my needs. She also gently guided my husband to be the birth partner I needed, and stepped in to provide the extra emotional and physical support. We could not have done it without her.
Nicole was an amazing doula! She was there every step of the way and showed us alot of positions and tricks
to help with natural labor. Nicole helped me as the mother feel very confident and strong during the whole
labor and was very supportive! She especially helped my husband be there for me during the whole thing by
handling everything else my husband didn't have time for. Nicole didn't just feel like a doula, but a great
friend who truly cared!
Our experience with our doula Nicole was invaluable. We decided that we wanted to use a doula when we
began researching the labor and birthing process here in the United States. Our ultimate goal was to get our
baby here safely, however, we wanted to do it in the most natural way possible. Having Nicole as my and my
husband's support helped us achieve exactly what we wanted from our birth experience! Nicole even
provided support to my mom who was present during labor and delivery.
Nicole was professional; she worked extremely well with my nurses and doctors. She was a constant support
during the whole process and she was extremely intuitive to my needs. I cannot imagine going through the
birthing process without her there. If my husband and I are lucky enough to have another child, we won't
even consider going through the process without a doula, and if Nicole is willing to support us again we
would love to have her there. Thank you Nicole for being such a wonderful support and doula!
We met with several different doulas and only had a chance to interview Nicole via FaceTime but right away
we knew she was the one for us. She was so helpful early on in keeping us calm and helping us to establish
some goals and a solid birth plan. When the big day came she was a game changer for us in terms of knowing what to do, helping with directing hospital staff in a polite but strong way that got us what we wanted. She did an amazing job under some very chaotic circumstances and kept us on track. After going through this, we think that everyone should have a doula and if you are lucky enough to get Nicole then just say yes and you will have no regrets.
I am so thankful to have had Nicole with us for our first birth experience. My husband and I both felt like we
had no idea what we were doing and having the support of Nicole was incredibly vital to our experience. I
initially wanted to hire a doula because my husband is a bit woozy when it comes to all things medical and I
was worried about having to experience labor & delivery alone. What I did not realize was that in hiring
Nicole, she would be supporting me but also my husband. My husband was able to have a very active role in
my labor & delivery and felt more confident in doing so due to Nicole. She helped to coach us both. When I
got pregnant I researched and read a lot of books about what kind of birth experience I wanted. When the
day came, the course of my plan needed to change and I had a hard time with that. It was so nice to have a
supportive person there. Nicole helped me to feel much more relaxed and comfortable during this
experience, supported my decisions and helped talk them out with me, was there for me before labor when I
had questions, and continues to be there for me now that my baby is here. I highly recommend Nicole and
would hire her in a heartbeat for our next baby whenever that day is!
Nicole was an incredible support to both my husband and I. Our birth plan didn't go, well, as planned. We
had planned for a birth center birth and ended up being transfered to the hospital. It was alot to process
emotionally and physically but Nicole was a grounding presense and a wealth of encouragement. She
seemed to always know the right words to say or how to direct my husband to comfort me. She had so many
great tips and tools to help me cope through. Our birth would have gone much differently if it wasn't for the
support of Nicole. Having her apart of our team was one of th best decisions we made. I cannot recommend
her enough!
My husband and I went back and forth about whether or not to hire a doula for a while. We found Nicole
when I was 36 weeks pregnant and knew right away after meeting her that we wanted to have her on our
team. Her own varied birth experiences with her three children were comforting to my husband and I felt
supported and understood by her. Nicole was a great resource as my body started to prepare for labor and
she always responded quickly to my questions over text message or a phone call. When my doctor wanted to
have me induced, Nicole discussed the options with my husband and I so we felt empowered and
encouraged to ask the right questions at my next appointment. On the day our baby decided to come, we were so thankful to have Nicole! She met us at the hospital with a wheelchair and took care of so many things so my husband could focus on staying by my side. Even when the nurse was in and out of the room, we had so much peace of mind having Nicole with us. She kept my husband involved and in no way stepped on his toes. She reminded me to change positions often during labor and had helpful tips during pushing. Nicole was truly a part of our team and we would highly recommend her to anyone searching for a doula.
Nicole was my Doula on May 2017 for my second birth. From my previous experience with my first son, I
wanted my second birth experience to be better and not to repeat the same mistakes. Then, the idea of
having a Doula came to mind and I mentioned it to my husband after explaining what a Doula does and he
agreed with me right away. I went on a search and found several Doulas online and I started calling. I was looking for someone who is confident, knowledgeable , empowering and love what she/he does. After calling and talking to several Doulas, I clicked with Nicole right away. My family scheduled to meet with her and we learned more about her and we decided to have her. The experience I had with her was amazing! She executed my birthing plan as I desired. She went above and beyond what I expected. Because of her, I had the best labor experience with no regrets and I will have a story to tell to all women that if I can have a natural birth...then any women can. When I thought I couldn't do it, she kept reminding me that I could. She helped me with breathing and relaxation techniques, which helped immensely. She knew what to do at different stages of my labor...especially when I was sick. If you would like to have an amazing birthing experience, I highly recommend Nicole as your Doula. She is amazing at what she does.
Nicole was an amazing support person during the labor and birth of our first baby. My partner and I chose to
hire her as our doula because of her warm & sweet presence, her personal experience giving birth to 3
children, and her vast birth knowledge. We knew it would take a very specific person to invite into the sacred birth space we wanted to create, and Nicole was the perfect fit. She was wonderful support leading up to labor- always checking in after our midwife appointments to see how baby and I were doing. She was so
helpful answering any questions we had about pregnancy and preparing for the big day. Once labor started,
Nicole was easy to contact and came to met us at the birth center quickly.
Nicole provided my partner and I the nurturing, feminine support we both needed during the labor. She
offered great suggestions of different ways to move through the intensity of the contractions and how to
really embrace the peace in between. She did a great job of helping my partner navigate his role by giving
him ideas of different ways to support me physically and emotionally. She also took some amazing photos
during labor and birth which I will cherish forever. We had a beautiful and successful natural water birth with our son after 13 hours of labor. I am so grateful for Nicole’s presence at our birth and beyond. It is obvious to see that she really cares about all of her clients and she does this doula work with the purest of intentions. We highly recommend her services!
I highly recommend Nicole. She came to the rescue to help me in the final hours of delivery with my baby
girl. She was the back-up for my local doula and was called in after hour ~40 of labor and my other doula was
spent. Nicole came right in, rolled up her sleeves and before I knew it I was holding my baby girl. She also
was able to help me with our first latch! Nicole has the energy, positivity and endurance to be right there for a long or short delivery.
When looking for Doulas I wanted to find one that I clicked with. After speaking with Nicole on the phone I set up an in person interview for my husband and I to meet her. We connected instantly and she made us both feel so comfortable that we knew she was the one for us! She was so caring and passionate, it went beyond just our upcoming birth. As first time parents she helped us with all of our questions and she kept connected to us beyond just the meetings to set up and review our birth plan. I had asked Nicole to help my husband to support me during my birth which I wanted to do naturally at a birth center. When my water broke 3 weeks early, I immediately contacted Nicole, and she remained in constant touch as we tried to jump start my labor, helping to coach my husband over the phone while we were home. Nicole met us at the birth center once it was clear my labor was progressing very quickly. She greeted me immediately with words of support and strength, and took turns with my husband helping me to concentrate and focus. Nicole guided me in my labor and most importantly helped my husband to be an amazing and supportive birth partner; I felt so comfortable with her presence. I was able to get through transition and stick to my birth plan of no epidural with Nicole and my husbands support. She even took some pictures during my labor and birth, which really helped my husband and I be able to be present with each other, but not miss capturing some memories. I can't imagine being able to get through my birth without her and I'd do it a million times over. My husband was thrilled as well, and we recommend her highly!
Nicole was the reason I was able to have not only a sucessful natural birth, but a spa-like experience. She
spent hours with me working hard to make sure I was comfortable, and her diligence and perserverance paid
off. When I spent an entire night with back labor, she massaged me through every contraction. She showed
my husband how to do it, but his hands did not relieve the pain like hers did--it took a woman's touch. She
brought her knowledge of essential oils, which made a phenomenal difference in the stregth of the
contractions. At one point she took a break to pump milk for her own baby, and I missed her presence. I
didn't tell my husband, but all I wanted was for him to sit in a corner of the room and be present without
touching me, and I wanted Nicole right there massaging my back. Now that I am about to deliver Baby #2, I
wish Nicole lived close enough for me to utilize her expertise a second time. As she does not, all I can do is
thank her for her service and envy the laboring mother who is at the receiving end of her love.
Nicole was my Doula for my 3rd birth. This was my first home birth, so having a doula was important to me.
She was very attentive to my needs throughout the whole process. We talked numerous times about my
wants and needs for my birth. Her suggestions about how to get through the transition period were very
helpful! During my birth she was extremely supportive, not only to myself, but also to my husband and
children. She remained very calm and respected my wishes to having a very quiet atmosphere during labor.
She was able to entertain my children and take pictures so my husband and I didn't have to think about any of that. Her back massages during labor are AMAZING!!! Any time I started to doubt my abilities, she reminded me about my strength which was very encouraging! Her easy to get along with personality made the introduction with my midwife very smooth. Nicole truly feels like family and she treats you as if you are. A safe and healthy birth is her priority and If I have more children, she will be one of my first calls. I can't thank her enough for what she gave my family and I during such a precious moment in our lives.
Nicole Tardi was my doula for my first and (so far) only child. We met during a birthing class I was taking and I first noticed how kind and caring she was towards everyone. Towards the end of the classes, she offered her services to us (for free) which we happily accepted. She took the time out to visit with us in our home a couple weeks before I was due. Even before I went into labor she always made herself available for any questions or concerns I had. On the big day, Nicole was there by my side and was such a tremendous help. As a first-time mother her kindness and reassurance was just what I needed and I could not have done it without her. This is especially true if you are hoping to have a natural delivery (no induction, augmentation, epidurals, etc). She was equally committed to the birth plan I had set out and was a great support and advocate. She was very well prepared and even cooked for us! My labor was very long, about 40 hours in all and she was there throughout, always supportive, always caring. I would recommend Nicole 1000 times over, especially if you're a first time mother and even if you're not. She is very dedicated and loves what she does!
